Demo 1 - Fluorescent Street

King's Road, Camberwell Green, the 345 it's all a f*cking dream

This is my first post of music - for those that don’t know I write songs on the piano and release them when I have the motivation; I have two tracks on the streaming platforms - “Jasmine Eyes, Lavender Cheeks” and “Golden Throne”. I will be releasing a demo onto this platform hopefully once a month - this is the first one - they will go behind the paywall - so see this as a teaser.

There is a strange feeling that sometimes comes over London - Suffolk transplants. A certain nostalgia for the past; where the need for a London injection permeates every day. I had this feeling when writing this track and also for the past week. Nostalgia for being a freewheeling 26 year old Camberwell library assistant. Who spent an inordinate amount of time on the 345 bus between King’s Road and Camberwell Green. I fucking loved that bus.

This was recorded using GarageBand and my trusty P90 weighted keyboard (20 years old) and a Rode Condenser microphone. This song is still in osmosis so a longer variation will be out soon.
